Desktops (power) ⚡

1️⃣🔌Check cutoff switch position where the power cable is connected to the systems power supply (PSU). Line = on, circle = off.

2️⃣⚡Check seating of the internal wiring connections at BOTH ends of the 24-pin ATX & 8-pin EPS power cables, as well as the following:

-GPU power cable(s) if using a discrete GPU

-2-pin power switch header cable

3️⃣💡Check to see if the power supply is working. Click here for step-by-step power supply testing instructions.

Notice: If PSU replaced & previous wiring reused, fried component(s) highly likely.

Desktops (display) 🖥️

Common Issues

🔌Make sure the display is connected to GPU, not the motherboard.

💡Test each memory module currently installed, individually.

⚠️Still blank? Remove the GPU & test using iGPU. (motherboard)

🛑NOTE: Intel KF, F, & AMD Ryzen CPUs (AM4 non-G) do NOT have iGPU & require a spare GPU to test or update non-working GPUs firmware

Laptops

1️⃣🔌Check with alternate charger. Confirm that the voltage & amps (voltage x amps = watts) listed on the charger brick match the laptop markings.

💡Just because the plug fits, doesn’t mean it’s right. e.g. systems with DC jack & USB-C typically cannot be charged via USB-C. Click here for the laptop charger finder tool.
2️⃣🪫Check battery reset pinhole ◘ , usually located on side or bottom, use if available. Check laptop manual for location. 📍

🔧If the system doesn’t have one, physical disassembly is required in order to disconnect the battery.
3️⃣🩺Check BIOS status. If the system failed during a BIOS update, or is no longer POSTing then you should attempt a BIOS recovery.
